A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has gone beyond over one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the Truth About Drugs campaign, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on helping young people make informed decisions, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.
The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes news eurovision supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
